AEM’s X-Collection Wideband UEGO Air/Gas Ratio Sensor Controller Gauges are built upon unique, patent-pending X-Digital expertise that makes them the fastest responding wideband air/fuel ratio controllers in impartial testing towards 17 different wideband UEGO air/fuel controllers*.
The X-Collection Wideband UEGO AFR Sensor Controller Gauge (PN 30-0300) measures 2 1/16th-inch (52mm) in diameter, and incorporates a modern, visually putting faceplate and new seven-phase center display that's 87% larger than the 30-4110 AEM Wideband Gauge’s center display. This creates the perception of a bigger overall gauge, but in a standard 52mm dimension for simple mounting. Its slim depth (less than one inch overall) and extremely slim cup depth of .200-inches dramatically increases its application base and potential mounting locations.
The X-Collection Wideband UEGO AFR Gauge has a person configurable display via buttons on the gauge face that can help you change AFR values for different fuels, Lambda or O2%, change the center display to a few or 4 digits, perform a free-air calibration if desired as the sensor ages, and change the CAN message ID when linking multiple X-Collection Inline Controllers or X-Collection Controller Gauges. A black bezel and black dual-faced faceplate for air/fuel and Lambda are included, and an non-obligatory silver bezel with white dual-faced Prosport Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge and Lambda faceplate is available (PN 30-0300-ACC, sold separately). An Auto Dimming feature is included. Locking connectors ensure a optimistic connection between the harnesses and gauge and a new single board design provides to the brand new gauge’s durability.
The gauge features a 0-5v and RS232 Serial Port output for suggestions management and information logging, and an AEMnet (CANbus) output for information logging. AEMnet allows additional X-Collection Wideband Controllers to be daisy chained together (up to sixteen cylinders) for recording AFR in multiple cylinders. It supports vehicle/system voltages up to 16V, and can be used on EFI or carbureted functions, and dynamometers in functions utilizing gasoline, methanol, ethanol, Diesel, propane and CNG.
X-Digital wideband expertise provides these controllers the ability to learn and report values that different controllers do not, which may ship extra optimized engine tuning and a safer overall working condition. The controller’s excessive pace digital implementation ensures no loss of sign fidelity and full transient response, making it able to identify the slightest fluctuations in AFR and output them in full value.
Why Does Response Time Matter?
Faster response time improves wideband suggestions management, and can present a safer, extra highly effective and accurate tune. AEM’s Wideband Controllers with X-Digital expertise can reduce deadtime and enhance the efficiency of your vehicle via extra accurate AFR tuning. Deadtime is the delay between when exhaust gasoline composition modifications and when that change is reported by the O2 sensor. While move of exhaust gases (transport delay) can affect deadtime, it isn't the one source. Usually, the sensing parts response to the gasoline is the biggest contributor to deadtime when an engine is in excessive RPM underneath load.
When tuning an engine utilizing wideband AFR suggestions management on an inertia dyno, deadtime impacts the info you're looking at as a result of it's reported in a unique working location than when it truly occurred. This means with lengthy deadtimes, whatever modifications you make to the bottom fueling will doubtless be within the mistaken location. This can be significantly harmful to excessive compression and excessive-boost compelled induction autos, and EFI programs that use suggestions management to auto tune.
Reducing deadtime improves wideband suggestions management, and can present a safer, extra highly effective and accurate tune. AEM’s Wideband Controllers with X-Collection digital expertise can reduce deadtime and enhance the efficiency of your vehicle via extra accurate AFR tuning.
Factory Calibration Resistor or Free Air Output
The X-Collection Wideband Gauge and X-Collection Inline Controller support the popular Bosch 4.9LSU sensor and can make the most of both the manufacturing unit calibration resistor and free-air calibration strategies**. This enables users to take advantage of the exact manufacturing unit resistor calibration when a sensor is new but then allows free of charge-air calibrations if the person desires when the sensor ages. It’s the perfect marriage of simplicity and accuracy!
What Is A Wideband??
AEM's Wideband UEGO (Universal Exhaust Fuel Oxygen, pronounced “You-Way-Go”) Controllers are highly effective, price efficient tuning tools that permit users to precisely monitor the Air/Gas Ratio (AFR) of their engine.
Why Use A Wideband??
Correct AFR information is critical when tuning an engine. Working wealthy (very low air/fuel ratio, extreme fuel) could cause a loss in energy, whereas running too lean (very excessive Prosport Wideband Air Fuel Ratio Gauge ratio, not enough fuel) might result in severe engine damage. Using a wideband air/fuel controller during the tuning course of lets you monitor AFR and alter tuning parameters to optimize them for maximum energy and efficiency. AEM has a complete line of highly accurate, reliable wideband air/fuel controllers that can help ensure your vehicle is optimally tuned.
